This is not evil! Or is it...
You know what I miss in GW as well as any other game including death? Kids. In every game there are no corpses of children nor children getting killed at all. It is not like I enjoy killing kids... that much XD... but I do like a certain point of realism in my games. The only game that I think is excused for not having kids dying is Half Life and Half Life 2 and that's only because they have reasonable explanations for that. But GW really should think about adding such a thing to add a little more to the sensitive side of players. Kids also die in the real world sad as it is. Guild Wars does have children but they do not seem to suffer much misfortune even doing the Canthan plague or Nightfall or the undead menace of Tyria or anything at all.
It's ok with censorship but there should also be a few rough things!

...why? Sure it might be "realistic" but GW isn't meant to be REAL. It's just a fantasy corpg. I don't understand, why do you want to see kids die? A little strange IMO, I seriously doubt they'd implement it into the game.

eh, Anet does not want a M rating for this game. If you want a game that lets you kill kids then you can find one.... just leave it out of GW. mmmK???

Certain laws protect against the depiction of children in harmful/deathly situations.
Also, there's enough kids in this game...physically they look like adults, but they behave like 5 year olds. I'm sure everyone knows who I'm talking about.

In Fallout you can kill children. You get some pretty nasty side-effects though, I think. I can't remember whether it's Fallout 1 or 2 (or both) or whether it's UK or US version (I think it might be UK, but can't be sure... I think there is a patch to add them into the games that don't have them), but there are children and you can kill them. I know I'm being pretty vague on the details, but that's because it's early and I honestly can't remember. Can you not also kill children in Bioshock? I heard you could, but haven't gotten around to playing it yet.
I understand why it can't happen in GW. GW isn't an adult game. Anet wanted the Teen rating for the game, and depiction of children getting murdered would most definitely raise that up (it would probably also cause a ban in Australia. Why my government seems to think that games shouldn't have an adult rating, I have no idea).

Um...I don't think Guild Wars is the type of game that would be proud to say "we specialize in killing children". That's not the type of game the creators want and I'm sure that's not the type of game most of the Guild Wars universe wishes to play. ANet can't even add the panda for a pet because in China they're becoming endangered, why in the world would they add a game that allows you to slaughter children just for the hell of it? They're not enemies anyway, which is what you kill in this game (thank God for no friendly fire). If you want a "life-like" game that involves killing children, then go play something else rated M. /notsigned

You Think that killing children is going to make guild wars better? Well, Its just going to make the game a little bit better for YOU but for most people there going to think that this idea is stupid. But this is also VERY EVIL! and I Like evil....
- Good luck convincing guild wars making this idea

Side note: You probably won't even see kids getting slaughtered in Mature rated games. I'm pretty sure that the ESRB is very strict about it. It's why you you could only bitchslap the kids in Fable and not slaughter them. I don't think we'd want games that would allow you to slice through crowds of children (imagine how perverse you could get with that in Oblivion..kill a kid then drag his body through town? Terrible!)
Dunno about what'll happen in Fable 2, though...it's a bit more open-ended, and could be a bit more messy.
That said, not being able to kill kids doesn't really harm my immersion in the game. There's plenty of other innocent people getting killed, and that's "good" enough for me.

This can't be stressed enough, I hate it so much when people say "Well, this skill doesn't make sense in real life because the definition of "warding" is gorby gorby gork gork... etc. etc. etc."
